Intro
Based upon a great relationship with the staff at Pierce Community College, the challenge was to assist a newly moved department to solve the challenges presented by an older building, with various changes in its layout.
Scope
On-site surveys and analysis of students movement patterns were the base to evaluate the old existing placement of signage and position of new, additional signage throughout the area. To safe money, old elements were repurposed and reused where possible, while easy to read color-coded maps and symbols were added to assist students finding their way around.
